Here’s another great video of the Ramones this time, performing their rendition of “California Sun” in front of a packed crowd at Club Citta in Kawaskai, Japan. Sure wish I could have been there to see this concert.

The Ramones released “California Sun” on their 1976 compilation “All the Stuff (And More!) Volume 1″ and again later on 1999’s “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: The Anthology”.

Originally, “California Sun” was written by Henry Glover and Morris Levy, and performed by The Rivieras and has since been covered by many others. The Ramones version has really distanced itself from the others however, as the Ramones version can often be heard anywhere from movies to television commercials. Enjoy!
